The objective of Change Management is to ensure that standardized methods and techniques are used for efficient and prompt handling of IT changes, in order to prevent change-related incidents. The objective is to make changes in such a way as to minimize negative impact on the delivery of services to users and clients.
All production services, as well as all services with agreements that specifically state service levels and environment up-time, are subject to the Change Management process and policies.
- The Change Management system provides a mechanism for the creation, approval, scheduling, and notification of Change Requests.
- Requests may be submitted, approved, and closed either via email or via a web interface.
