About this document
This document is a high-level summary Strategic Plan. IT Services’ strategic planning is influenced by internal factors and drivers within the university and our organization, as well as external trends within our industry. It reflects feedback from staff, clients, and stakeholders, including leaders in Stanford’s seven schools, the Dean of Research, C-ACIS, key faculty advisors, Campus IT members, business system owners, and Administrative Systems.
This document is intended to encourage and support dialogue with IT Services’ clients and within IT Services. As such, it identifies the organization’s future state, describes the rationale for the strategic plan, illustrates client experiences, and explains our near- and longer-term goals.

To support various departments within Stanford, peer organizations, or other interested parties, IT Services has provided technology strategy documents that detail the current state, the vision, and the roadmap for all the major technology categories in IT Services.
