RADIUS for eduroam and VPN

Remote Authentication Dial in User Service (RADIUS) is a common method of authorizing access to remote equipment or systems. The University IT Windows Infrastructure team supports some of the campus’ RADIUS systems that allow our users to connect to the eduroam network and the Stanford VPN. The goal of the RADIUS system is to allow easy and secure access to the internet and other campus technology resources.

Features

A Stanford IP address allows you access to Stanford's computing resources and certain campus services (e.g., departmental file and print servers).

Designed for

RADIUS is used for authorizing access to many campus services. The eduroam network is available to all Stanford faculty, staff, students, alumni, and visitors from other participating institutions. The VPN service is primarily used by Stanford faculty, staff, and students.

Requirements

SUNet ID or participating institution login credentials
