When you have call in progress, the conversation pane gives you several options:

Adjust call volumeDrag the volume slider in the active conversation pane to adjust the volume that you hear. To adjust volume for other participants, move your microphone closer to or farther from your mouth. |

Mute audio (and disable video, if applicable)Toggle to mute or unmute audio. If video is used, toggle its icon to enable or disable video. |
|
End the active callIf you want to end a call on hold, retrieve the call before ending it. If you don't, the other person remains on hold after you hang up. |
|
Put the call on holdToggle to retrieve the call. |
|
Merge or transfer callsYou can both create conference calls and transfer calls by merging calls. See more below. |

Enter touchtone responsesPress this icon to access a dialpad if you need to enter touchtone responses, such as a password. Click the numbers. |

See a list of callers on your current callSee a list of participants (audio and/or video) in a conversation.You can Control-click a name or number to perform actions. |

Add video to a callIf you are on a call, make sure the conversation pane is active, and select this option from the dropdown menu to add video. |
Create a conference call
You create a conference call by merging two or more calls, specifically:
- Two conversations (each conversation consists of you and another person);
- A conversation with another person and a conference call;
- Multiple conversations sequentially into a single conference call.
Note: If you are in a conference call and hang up, the other participants can continue the conversation.
With at least one active call and one call on hold:
- Choose the conversation you want to keep as the conference call and put that conversation on hold.
- Click the conversation pane of the call you want to merge into the call on hold.
- Click
the Merge icon
in
the active conversation pane. - Choose the conversation pane with which you want to merge the call.
- Repeat steps 1–4 to add more participants.
Transfer a call
Use the same procedure to transfer a call as you would to create a conference call:
- Choose the conversation you want to keep as the conference call and put that conversation on hold.
- Click the conversation pane of the call you want to merge into the call on hold.
- Click the Merge
icon
in
the active conversation pane. - Choose the conversation pane with which you want to merge the call.
- When all participants are on the same active line, you can hang up and the others can continue the conversation.
