Create a conference call

You create a conference call by merging two or more calls, specifically:

  • Two conversations (each conversation consists of you and another person);
  • A conversation with another person and a conference call;
  • Multiple conversations sequentially into a single conference call.

Note: If you are in a conference call and hang up, the other participants can continue the conversation.

With at least one active call and one call on hold:

  1. Choose the conversation you want to keep as the conference call and put that conversation on hold.
  2. Click the conversation pane of the call you want to merge into the call on hold.
  3. Click the Merge icon merge icon in the active conversation pane.
  4. Choose the conversation pane with which you want to merge the call.
  5. Repeat steps 1–4 to add more participants.

Transfer a call

Use the same procedure to transfer a call as you would to create a conference call:

  5. When all participants are on the same active line, you can hang up and the others can continue the conversation.
